TransDigm Group Inc. is St Martin de Porre’s newest scholarship program partner! Headquartered in Cleveland, TransDigm Group Inc. is a leading producer, designer and supplier of highly engineered aerospace components, systems and subsystems that are used on nearly all commercial and military aircraft in service today. The company is providing full academic scholarships and supporting academic enrichment opportunities for five deserving students of high academic potential at Saint Martin.

With gratitude for TransDigm’s commitment to our students, we are pleased to announce the inaugural class of Peacock Scholars, named after the company’s co-founder, Doug Peacock. Congratulations to (top to bottom) freshmen Savion Adams, Antanese Fulton, Treazure Maines, Elan Michael, and Brian Moore for being selected for this honor. The scholarship will support these students through each subsequent year of their Saint Martin education, along with an additional five freshmen each year until a cohort of 20 Peacock Scholars is reached.

“We are tremendously excited about this partnership and the opportunities it affords our students,” says school President, Chaz Napoli. “TransDigm’s investment in our scholars is remarkable.”

“We are committed to this partnership with Saint Martin to assist in the development of these young men and women in preparation for success in higher education and in life,” said Kevin Stein, TransDigm Group’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “TransDigm wants to help ensure that the cost of a quality education does not prohibit bright minds from continuing to grow their skillsets. Developing and promoting a talented and diverse future workforce is an important initiative for TransDigm and we are honored to contribute through the Peacock Scholarship Program.”

In addition to their high academic and leadership potential, these students also have an interest in pursuing STEM or business in postsecondary education. Upon graduating from Saint Martin, our Peacock Scholars will have access to TransDigm’s collegiate scholarship program should they decide to pursue engineering or business at one of the participating universities: Clemson University, Cleveland State University, Drexel University, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Southern California, or University of Washington. The company is also providing educational opportunities for high school students impacted by economic disadvantage and educational inequity at Benedictine High School.
