Supporting our Communities
As a growing company with over 100 locations around the world, we make a positive impact on the communities in which we operate and encourage each of our operating units to engage with their local communities and find meaningful ways to give back. We have specifically targeted underserved and disadvantaged communities in and around our locations. Read below for programs that TransDigm has launched at the corporate level.
Our commitment to diversity extends beyond scholarships. We actively support Programs for Educational Enrichment and Retention and Women in Science and Engineering (“PEER” and “WISE”), a diversity program at Clemson University, and Center for Engineering Diversity at USC Viterbi. Additionally, we offer employment opportunities to our Doug Peacock Scholars, providing valuable career pathways and contributing to the development of a diverse workforce. We have some students who obtain internships and co-ops at our operating units. At TransDigm, we believe in empowering the next generation of talent both inside and outside the classroom, and we are dedicated to making a meaningful impact.
One of TransDigm’s core business and values is supporting the U.S. military. Last year, we supported the USS Cleveland Legacy Foundation’s efforts to bring the ship to life at its commissioning in Cleveland, the USS Cleveland’s crew during its service life and returning the ship to Cleveland after its retirement to serve as a memorial and museum for all four U.S. Navy ships that have carried the name Cleveland. We are pleased to contribute to this honorable project, which will not only help commission a new United States Navy threat combat ship – expected in 2024 – but build lasting connections between the sea services and the Greater Cleveland community.
